PM 12 The Future belongs to the Young
There is much emphasis on supporting the youngest at the international horse show “Verden International” from July 31 to August 5. Verden is the perfect venue for young riders and horses. The stars of tomorrow have the opportunity to show up for the first time on a big stage at the Hanoverian Young Horse Championships. Promising young riders can prepare for higher tasks in the Big Tour and Piaff Challenge Cup.
Champions are made in Verden! Sandra Auffarth’s Nupafeed’s La Vista, third in the Derby this year, won the 2015 Hanoverian Championship-title in the division of six-year-old jumpers. Sandra Auffarth has announced to participate with her top jumper in the Big Tour. The World Eventing Champion will also compete with her other horses and looks forward to similarly fantastic career starts. Riders like Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and Markus Beerbaum also love to participate in Verden. Charmed, the current top horse of Markus Beerbaum, knows the premises on Lindhooper Straße. The liver chestnut mare was sold at the 2012 Verden Elite Auction at the age of four. She gained first international experiences at “Verden International” a couple of years later and is meanwhile an experienced horse at show grounds all over the world. She considerably contributed to winning the golden whip at the renowned horse show in Nörten-Hardenberg. Real Dancer FRH and Jan-Dirk Gießelmann started their career in Verden at the FEI World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses. This year, they return to Verden as successful Grand Prix-duo.
But the Organizing Committee is not only focused on further advancing young horses. Event manager Ulrike Kubelke emphasizes: “We try to give many young riders the chance to participate in Verden,” because Ulrike Kubelke knows: “The future belongs to the young.” Equestrian sport has no chance without the presence of promising young riders. Promising young riders such as Finja Bormann and Tim-Uwe Hoffmann will come to Verden. Both are successfully competing with former Verden auction horses. Guido Klatte jun. who shined at the U25 jumper test at the CHIO in Aachen last week, has also announced to participate. There are strong and promising young riders such as Jil-Marielle Becks, Hanna Erbe, Lisa Klössinger, Bianca Nowag and Nina Neuer competing in the Piaff Challenge Cup, a series for dressage riders aged 25 and younger.
